First of all, you need to choose the story you’re about to participate in. There are plenty of them to any taste – from heart-rendering romance novels that will make you feel like you’re floating on a cloud of rose petals to paranormal detective stories that are going to send cold shivers down your skin. Just pick the section you’re interested in and flip through the list of stories – you’ll sure to stumble upon something that catches your eye. Once you’ve decided on the genre and the story, you are welcome to create a character to your liking. You can customize everything from your hero’s (or heroine’s) name, the slightest aspects of their looks and clothes. Now you’re fully ready to begin!

Since the gameplay in Episode Choose Your Story is basically a visual novel, it will be much as if you were reading a book, chapter by chapter. Only the contents of each chapter depend not so much on what the authors have written in the script, but on your choices. These choices can be very different in their importance. Some won’t influence the course of events at all (although even deciding on something as simple as the color of your dress might get you noticed by some new guy and you will end up up to your ears in another romantic affair without even planning it). And some will be huge in their impact on the whole plot.

So how exactly are these choices made? Every time you find yourself in some kind of a situation (mostly involving a dialogue), you will be presented with several options on how to behave and what to say. You just have to tick the one you see fit in the dialogue box – and voila, you unlock another alternative version of events. This is just as if you were a co-author of the novel you’re in or the main character suddenly came to life and gained a will of their own. In any way, this is extremely exciting and intriguing!
